Offshore Renewables
The UK is blessed with world class wind resources and shallow seas on the continental shelf which has allowed the construction of the largest wind farms in the world. However, if we are to continue to decarbnonise at a pace to meet the ambitous emission goals, many more need to be built. This will inevitably require an expansion in the marine geophysics industry.
Geophysical surveys are required at multiple stages of offshore windfarm projects, from large scale, low resolution scoping surveys to higher resolution and more targeted cable routing surveys, through to post construction depth of burial assessments.
