Magnetometry

In many ways, the most simple widely used geophysical technique, Magnetometry is utilised in a wide array of engineering and nearshore marine geophysics. 

Various types of Magnetometers are used in modern geophysics, with the most widespread now being the Caesium vapour sensor. Older examples include the fluxgate magnetometer.
